Grammy-winning Nigerian music star, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has shared that he’s now seriously considering starting a family.
The Afro-fusion artist made the remark during his 34th birthday celebration held in Lagos on Wednesday night.
Reflecting on his age and a recent heart-to-heart with oil mogul Jowizaza, Burna Boy said the idea of having children has been on his mind.
“Jowizaza spoke to me recently, and I’ve been thinking about my life since then,” he said in Pidgin English. “Omo, I’m getting old oh, I should start having kids.”
Burna Boy rose to fame with his 2013 hit single Like to Party, off his debut album L.I.F.E. Over the years, he has earned multiple accolades, including a Grammy Award in 2021 for Twice As Tall, which won Best World Music Album.
In 2024, the Port Harcourt-born singer was also named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.
