A dramatic video circulating online shows the moment a young man was caught hiding in the ceiling of a bank after an alleged failed robbery attempt.
Eyewitnesses say the suspect entered the FCMB branch during normal business hours, discreetly locked himself in a restroom, and later climbed into the ceiling to remain hidden until after closing.
The next morning, bank staff were alarmed to find the main entrance locked from within. Suspecting something was amiss, they forced the door open and soon heard noises coming from above.
Security personnel eventually located the man in the ceiling, where he was reportedly trying to tamper with the bank’s systems.
In the viral footage, the suspect is seen being dragged out of the ceiling, beaten by security officers and bystanders, and tied up with a rope.
As of the time of this report, FCMB has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
