Bayern Munich have officially secured the signing of Colombian forward Luis Diaz from Premier League champions Liverpool, in a deal reportedly worth up to €75 million ($86.5 million).

The 28-year-old winger, who helped Liverpool win the Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup during his spell at Anfield, has signed a contract with the German giants that runs until 2029.

“We’re delighted to have signed one of the Premier League’s top left wingers,” said Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen. “Luis brings a winning mentality from Liverpool and has a history of success at every club he’s played for.”

Expressing his excitement about the transfer, Diaz said, “I’m very happy to join FC Bayern. This is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I want to contribute with my style and personality, and help the team fight for every possible trophy.”

Diaz was a key figure for Liverpool last season under Arne Slot, making 50 appearances and netting 17 goals across all competitions as the club claimed their 20th English league title.

He was notably absent from Liverpool’s recent 4–2 friendly loss to AC Milan in Hong Kong, amid growing speculation about his future.

His arrival at Bayern comes as a timely boost, with the club needing to fill the void left by Jamal Musiala, who has been sidelined indefinitely after suffering a broken leg and dislocated ankle during the Club World Cup.
