Tension turned to excitement in the Big Brother Naija Season 10 house on Sunday evening as host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced that no housemate would be evicted in the first week of the show.

During the live eviction show, Ebuka revealed that all 29 contestants were safe, sparking jubilant reactions throughout the house. Housemates were seen hugging and celebrating the unexpected reprieve.

Earlier in the week, Big Brother had directed each contestant to secretly nominate two fellow housemates for possible eviction, a process that heightened emotions and uncertainty within the house. However, it was later revealed to viewers that the eviction process was fake, a twist intended to stir drama and keep housemates on edge.

Only the Head of House, Jason Jae, was immune from nomination, having secured and defended the title during the week’s HoH challenge. While Jason was confident in his safety, the remaining 28 housemates believed their positions were at risk.

Big Brother maintained the suspense throughout the week by withholding the truth about the fake eviction, resulting in visible anxiety among the housemates. Sunday’s announcement brought immense relief, giving all contestants more time to bond with each other and connect with the audience.
