The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has urged victims of the fraudulent cryptocurrency platform, Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX), to come forward and assist with ongoing investigations.

In a statement released on Friday by the Commission’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, the EFCC announced that affected individuals should report to its Ibadan and Lagos Zonal Directorates.

According to Oyewale, the EFCC is currently prosecuting three suspects Adefowora Olanipekun, Otorudo Avwerosuo, and Ehirim Chukwuebuka in connection with the scam.

“CBEX lured unsuspecting Nigerians with promises of unrealistic returns, leading to significant financial losses,” the statement said.

Victims who invested through persons connected to CBEX offices in Ibadan and Idimu, Lagos, are specifically requested to report for further inquiry.
