The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates.
In a statement issued on Monday, August 4, via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, WAEC announced that candidates who sat for the exam can now check their results online. The council expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the exam and encouraged candidates to promptly access their results.
To check results, candidates should visit the official portal at www.waecdirect.org and ensure they have their examination number and result-checking PIN.
Steps to Check Your WASSCE Result Online
1. Go to www.waecdirect.org
2. Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number (7-digit centre number + 3-digit candidate number).
For exams before 1999, use your 8-digit number (5-digit centre + 3-digit candidate number).
3. Enter your examination year (e.g., 2025).
4. Select the examination type (e.g., School Candidate Result).
5. Enter your e-PIN Voucher Number.
6. Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN.
7. Click Submit and wait for your result to display.
How to Check WASSCE Results via SMS
1. Send an SMS in this format:
WAECExamNoPIN*ExamYear
To short code 32327 (available to MTN, Airtel, and Glo subscribers).
Example:
WAEC*4250101001*123456789012*2025
2. Ensure there are no spaces in the message.
3. Your result will be sent to your phone via SMS.
