The Alase Dynasty of Òlà has rejected what it called distortions of the town’s history and traditions, stressing that the Alase is a natural dynasty title and not a monarchical one.
At a press conference, Dr. Olufemi Fasanya reaffirmed that Òlà was co-founded by two brothers, with the Alase throne established as the foundational authority.
The dynasty condemned the installation of Mr. Bayo Busari as Oosa of Òlà without its consent and described attacks on past Alases as provocative. It called on Governor Ademola Adeleke and the Ooni of Ife to intervene, warning against any erosion of its ancestral role.
The family restated its commitment to peace and development, insisting that Òlà’s unity must be built on truth and respect for tradition.
