Atletico Madrid and Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, is on the verge of sealing a high-profile move to French D1 Arkema powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain, Insight Media Sports Arena has gathered.
Ajibade, 24, became a free agent in June after parting ways with Spanish Liga F side Atlético Madrid at the end of her contract. Her impending switch to PSG will see her link up with compatriot Jennifer Echegini, who has already established herself as a key figure in the French club’s midfield.
While the dynamic winger had attracted interest from Major League Soccer (MLS) teams, PSG have reportedly beaten the competition to secure her services.
Ajibade heads to Paris in blistering form, having captained the Super Falcons to their record-extending 10th Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco last month. Her stellar performances earned her the Player of the Tournament award, further cementing her reputation as one of Africa’s finest football talents.
