Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze has sealed a sensational deadline-day move to Premier League club Fulham.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal on Monday, stating: “Samu Chukwueze to Fulham, here we go! Deal agreed on initial loan with buy option clause not mandatory. Total package could reach fee over €25/26m. He’s now at Fulham training ground after completing medicals.”

The agreement will see the 25-year-old winger spend the 2025/26 campaign at Craven Cottage on an initial loan, with an option for the move to become permanent. The overall value of the transfer, should Fulham activate the clause, could rise to over €25 million.

Chukwueze, who rose to prominence at Spanish club Villarreal with his blistering pace and trickery on the wings, made a big-money switch to AC Milan in the summer of 2023. However, his time in Italy was disrupted by injuries and limited playing opportunities, prompting the move in search of more consistent game time.

Fulham see the Nigerian star as a major boost to their attacking department, as manager Marco Silva looks to strengthen the squad for the challenges of the new season. Chukwueze is expected to add flair, directness, and creativity to the Cottagers’ frontline, while also bringing valuable European experience.

With the Premier League widely regarded as the most competitive league in the world, the transfer presents Chukwueze with a fresh opportunity to re-establish himself on the big stage and stake a stronger claim for a regular role in the Super Eagles ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
