The Special Adviser to the Taraba State Governor on Legal Matters, Barrister Sani Marke, has said that Governor Agbu Kefas’ decision to align politically with President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) will open a new chapter of growth and development for Taraba State.
In a statement issued in Jalingo, Marke described the governor’s move as a courageous and forward-thinking decision aimed at promoting progress, unity, and inclusion for the people of Taraba.
He explained that Governor Kefas’ willingness to work closely with the APC-led Federal Government demonstrates his commitment to prioritizing the state’s development over partisan interests.
“This decision shows that Governor Kefas is a true patriot who puts Taraba first,” Marke said. “Aligning with the centre is not about political convenience but about expanding opportunities for our people. It is a strategic realignment that will ensure Taraba is fully included in the Federal Government’s development agenda.”
The aide added that Governor Kefas’ collaboration with the Federal Government will help attract more federal projects, partnerships, and investments that will accelerate growth in key sectors such as infrastructure, education, and health.
Barr. Marke also commended APC leaders in the state and the North-East zone, including Senator David Jimkuta, Barr. Uba Maigari Ahmadu, Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi, Hon. Jerry Manwe, Hon. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi, and the Zonal Chairman, Comrade Mustapha Salisu for warmly welcoming Governor Kefas into the fold.
He expressed optimism that the new political alignment would foster cooperation and peace across party lines, paving the way for a more prosperous Taraba State.
