President Bola Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh, on his 60th birthday, describing him as a committed unifier and a stabilising figure in Nigeria’s political landscape.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President acknowledged Metuh’s contributions to strengthening national unity, noting that he has been “a significant voice of reason at a time of cacophony.”
Metuh, who clocks 60 on Saturday, previously served as the PDP’s spokesperson from 2012 to 2016 and has remained active in peace-building engagements that cut across political and ethnic divides.
Tinubu applauded his ongoing efforts to foster dialogue and harmony among the country’s political players, urging him to stay committed to advancing Nigeria’s growth.
He also recognised Metuh’s charitable activities and offered prayers for his health and longevity.
“The president… prays that he enjoys many more decades in robust health,” the statement added.
A lawyer and businessman, Metuh continues to hold a notable place in national political conversations, particularly for his emphasis on unity and reconciliation.
Tinubu wished him a fulfilling birthday celebration and renewed strength as he reaches the age of 60.
