Legendary Nigerian rapper and YBNL founder, Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide Baddo, has shared that he is currently focused on prioritizing himself after years of balancing his own career with supporting others.
Speaking during an interview with Flow 98.7 FM, Olamide explained that he has spent most of his life helping people rise in the music industry while still pursuing his own goals. However, he said he has now reached a point where he wants to give his personal life and career his full attention.
“Right now, I’m at a phase in my life where I’m trying to give myself undivided attention,” he said.
“All my life, I’ve been there for people while still trying to handle my own work. But at this stage, I just want to focus on myself 100 percent.”
Olamide is widely celebrated for his massive impact in grooming and supporting talents through his YBNL label. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in the rise of stars such as Lil Kesh, Young Jonn, Pheelz, Fireboy DML, Lyta, Asake, Adekunle Gold, and many more.
Beyond signing artistes, Olamide has also boosted the careers of several musicians through collaborations, giving breakthrough moments to acts like Zlatan Ibile, Naira Marley, Portable, Bella Shmurda, and others.
