President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently meeting with Nigeria’s service chiefs in a closed-door session at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, as concerns grow over recent attacks targeting security personnel and military installations across the country.

The development was disclosed on Thursday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter).

The high-level security meeting is coming a day after the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, held discussions with the country’s service chiefs over the security situation.

Sources also revealed that the service chiefs, along with the newly appointed Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, arrived at the Presidential Villa without their official vehicles.

As of the time this report was filed, details of the discussions at the meeting had not been made public.
