Former member of the Osun State House of Assembly, Babatunde ‘Lekan Olatunji PhD, has congratulated Engr. Aare Bajamin Kayode Adereti on his emergence as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of their party.
In a statement, Olatunji described Adereti’s emergence as a welcome development, noting that the choice of a running mate from Ife Federal Constituency is a source of pride for the people of the area. He said the development reflects the contributions and strength of the constituency within the party and across the state.
He expressed confidence in Adereti’s capacity to work diligently for the success of the party and to effectively discharge the responsibilities attached to the position.
Olatunji also appreciated the leadership of the party and the governorship candidate for the confidence reposed in him by appointing him as the placeholder for the deputy governorship position earlier in the process.
Quoting a popular saying that “men of genius are admired, men of wealth are envied, men of power are feared; but only men of character are trusted,” he said he was proud to have carried out the assignment given to him and not to have disappointed the trust placed in him.
He urged members and supporters of the party to rally behind the governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, and Adereti in order to secure victory in the August 15 election.
Olatunji concluded by congratulating Adereti once again, describing him as a dear brother and friend.
