In his address, SGF Akume commended the innovation by the FCC, describing the platform as a strategic step toward strengthening institutional performance and deepening accountability across government processes,”

Earlier in her welcome address, Executive Chairman of the FCC, Hon. Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran said the unveiling was part of several steps aimed at modernizing the FCC in order to comply with 21st-century governance.
Omidiran said, “we are gathered here not only to unveil a digital platform, but to also witness a decisive step forward in the modernization of the Federal Character Commission’s communication and service delivery framework. This is in alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, which prioritizes reform, digital transformation, inclusiveness, and efficient governance.”
The Chairman added that the Commission is evolving and working hard to fulfil its mandate if ensuring fairness, equity and even development.
“As an institution established to uphold the principles of fairness, equity, and balanced representation in the distribution of public opportunities across the Federation, the Commission continues to adapt to the evolving demands of governance in a digital age. It has become increasingly essential that our processes reflect efficiency, openness, and accessibility to the Nigerian people whom we serve,” she noted.
Speaking on the new platform, Omidiran said “The new official website stands as a strategic innovation designed to strengthen our institutional presence in the digital space. It provides a unified, accessible and user-friendly platform through which the public can engage with the Commission more effectively.
“This digital transformation will significantly enhance the visibility and operational efficiency of the Commission. It will ensure that vital information – ranging from policies,
guidelines, recruitment processes, compliance requirements, and official announcements – is made readily available to all stakeholders in real time.
“Furthermore, the platform offers an improved avenue for communication and engagement, by allowing citizens, agencies, and partners to interact with the
Commission in a more transparent and structured manner. In doing so, it reinforces accountability and fosters public trust in our processes and decisions.”
