Aspirant for the Oriade State Constituency, Engr. Olufemi Akosile has said he remains the candidate to beat in the constituency as secured victory in the last primary election of the All Progressives Congress the local government.

A statement by his media office of Monday, the US-based engineer described the as a sign of acceptability of his ideas at the grassroots.

“In the just concluded APC primary, he secured victory in 7 out of 12 wards, a clear sign of broad grassroots acceptance and a strong mandate from party members across the local government.

“The figures speak strongly in his favor. Prof. Akinmoladun scored zero votes in his own base of Wards 8, 9, and 10, while Hon. Aloba, though active in Wards 8 to 10, was unable to sustain momentum across the remaining wards. In contrast, Engr. Akosile defeated Hon. Aloba by 1,133 votes overall, proving that his appeal is not restricted to a narrow bloc but extends across Oriade as a whole.

“This wide spread of support reflects trust, respect, and political acceptability across the wards. It also positions him as a candidate capable of uniting stakeholders and strengthening APC’s chances ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“Beyond Oriade, Engr. Akosile brings strategic value to the broader political mission of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO)*. With his structure, reach, and organizational strength, he is well placed to mobilize effectively for the August 15 governorship election and contribute meaningfully to APC’s success

“In every sense, Engr. Olufemi Akosile combines numbers, structure, and acceptability. His record shows that he is not only a strong candidate for Oriade 2027, but also a dependable ally in the larger APC victory project.”
