The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has raised concerns over what he described as an emerging security threat against President Bola Tinubu’s administration, urging the government to act swiftly to prevent further deterioration of the country’s security situation.
In a statement issued on Friday through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric claimed that another group capable of causing instability was gradually building up and could become active within the next few months if urgent preventive measures are not taken.
Ayodele called on the Federal Government to strengthen surveillance and close security gaps, stressing the need for proactive action.
According to him, insecurity remains one of the biggest challenges confronting the current administration and could become a major source of public dissatisfaction if not effectively addressed.
The cleric recalled that he had repeatedly warned about worsening insecurity in previous statements and urged authorities to treat the issue with greater urgency.
He also expressed concern over the rising cases of kidnapping across the country, warning that criminal groups could adopt new methods of operation if security agencies do not stay ahead of emerging threats.
Ayodele maintained that tackling insecurity should not rest solely on the shoulders of the police and military, calling for greater collaboration among government institutions, communities and citizens.
He further urged the administration not to underestimate the security challenges facing the nation, saying sustained efforts and broader reforms would be required to restore public confidence and maintain national stability.
