The Ilobu-Asake Development Union (IDU) has congratulated Abubakar Abdulbasit following his re-election as Global President of the Osun State University Alumni Association (OSUAA), describing the victory as a reflection of confidence in his leadership and service.
In a congratulatory message signed by the National President of IDU, Professor Olufemi Saibu, the union praised Abubakar for securing a renewed mandate and commended his performance during his first tenure.
According to the union, Abubaka’s re-election goes beyond political success and represents recognition of his vision, commitment, and impact in advancing the alumni body.
IDU noted that his leadership has continued to project the values and strengths of Ilobu indigenes, adding that his achievements demonstrate the capacity of the community’s sons and daughters to excel in positions of responsibility and influence.
The union expressed confidence that Abdulbasit would continue to deliver results in his second term and strengthen the reputation of the Osun State University alumni network globally.
It also extended congratulations to the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Odunayo Clement Adeoye, the institution’s management, alumni members, and the wider university community, expressing optimism that the renewed administration would foster progress and meaningful development.
Calling on indigene of Ilobu across the world to celebrate the milestone, Professor Saibu urged Abdulbasit to continue carrying the community’s banner with distinction and excellence.
He further assured the OSUAA Global President of the support, goodwill, and prayers of the Ilobu-Asake Development Union throughout his new tenure.
