The Presidency has warned members of the public against claims linking Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi to an appointment purportedly made through an organisation known as the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, described the claim as false, stressing that the organisation is not recognised by the Federal Government and does not exist under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Gbajabiamila said the attention of the Presidency had been drawn to activities of Adeyemi, who is allegedly presenting himself to the public as having been appointed by the Office of the Chief of Staff through the purported council.
He clarified that no such office exists within the current administration and that no appointment had been made in that regard.
“The unsuspecting public is hereby advised to note that such an office does not exist under this administration and no appointment has been made in that regard,” the statement said.
The Chief of Staff urged foreign missions, diplomatic representatives, financial institutions, multilateral organisations, development partners, security agencies and members of the public to take note of the disclaimer and disregard any claims associated with the alleged organisation.
The Presidency reiterated its commitment to transparency and cautioned stakeholders against dealing with individuals or groups falsely claiming affiliation with the Federal Government.
