The organisers of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) have announced that the highly anticipated 11th season of Nigeria’s biggest reality television show will premiere on Sunday, July 26, 2026, with a record-breaking ₦160 million grand prize awaiting the eventual winner.
The announcement was made during a media briefing on Wednesday, where organisers unveiled details of the new season, confirming the biggest prize package in the history of the reality show.
The ₦160 million reward represents a ₦10 million increase from the ₦150 million prize won by last season’s champion, further raising the stakes for contestants competing in this year’s edition.
Since its return in 2017, BBNaija has consistently increased its prize money, reflecting the show’s growing popularity and commercial success. The latest increase underscores the organisers’ commitment to making Season 11 the biggest edition yet.
Insightlinks gathered that the preparations for the new season began earlier this year with physical auditions held in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu from May 22 to 24, 2026.
The auditions were open, free of charge, to Nigerians aged 21 years and above who possessed valid means of identification, with successful applicants earning a chance to compete for the life-changing prize.
With the premiere date now confirmed, fans across the country are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the new housemates, whose personalities, strategies and rivalries are expected to dominate conversations over the coming months.
