The Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Ned Nwoko, has appealed to fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators to give his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, space to recover amid their lingering marital crisis.

Nwoko made the appeal in a statement shared on his social media page, expressing concern over what he described as the circulation of false and distressing reports about the actress, including fabricated death announcements and misleading claims about her health and personal life.

The senator said Daniels had been through difficult experiences and needed love, support and an opportunity to recover rather than public criticism or additional pressure.

He also referred to a video the actress shared on her birthday, saying it offered the public a glimpse of some of the health challenges she had been dealing with.

“I want to make a sincere appeal to the public, particularly Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators, to please give Regina some breathing space,” he said.

Nwoko said his appeal was also motivated by the welfare of their children, who, according to him, were being well cared for and deserved to see their mother supported and given the opportunity to recover.

He further cautioned against the publication and circulation of fabricated reports, particularly false announcements of Daniels’ death and unverified claims about her health.

According to him, such publications go beyond ordinary social media engagement, as the actress sees many of the posts and finds them deeply distressing.

The lawmaker urged her supporters to discourage the spread of such content rather than amplify it, stressing that Daniels should be allowed to focus on her well-being.

Nwoko also warned that individuals found deliberately spreading false information about the actress would face legal action, adding that the publications were being documented for possible proceedings through appropriate legal channels.

“Regina deserves the opportunity to recover without being subjected to a fresh wave of fabricated stories every day,” he said.

The appeal comes amid the couple’s highly publicised marital crisis, which has continued to attract attention across social media platforms. Their private disagreements have increasingly become a subject of public discussion, with fans and bloggers weighing in on developments surrounding their relationship.
