Popular Fuji musician, Taye Adebisi, popularly known as Taye Currency, has expressed pride and joy after his son, Samsudeen Adebisi, was officially called to the Nigerian Bar.
The Ibadan-born singer announced the milestone in a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday, describing his son’s achievement as the reward for years of hard work, perseverance and dedication.
Sharing a video from the colourful ceremony, Taye Currency congratulated Samsudeen on attaining one of the highest professional milestones in the legal profession.
“I am incredibly proud of you. Your dedication, late-night studies and resilience have finally paid off. Officially becoming a barrister and solicitor is a monumental milestone. May your legal career be filled with wisdom, success and fulfilment. Congratulations on this great achievement, my son, Barrister Samsudeen Adebisi. More success ahead,” he wrote.
The video captured an emotional moment between father and son, with Samsudeen dressed in the traditional wig and black gown worn by newly admitted legal practitioners as the Fuji star embraced him in celebration.
Samsudeen’s call to the Bar adds to a growing list of accomplishments recorded by Taye Currency’s children, whom the musician has often described as his greatest source of pride.
One of his sons, Yusuf Adebisi, previously represented Ibadan South-West State Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, becoming one of the youngest lawmakers during his tenure.
The Fuji star has also repeatedly celebrated the achievements of his daughters, attributing his children’s success to discipline, quality upbringing and the importance he places on education despite the demands of his music career.
