A political group, Osun East United for Good Governance, has called on constituents to re-elect Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi in 2027, saying his track record of service and development in Osun East deserves another term.

In a statement signed by its coordinator, Adesina Adisa, on Thursday, the group said the senator representing Osun East has consistently put the people first through empowerment programs, infrastructure projects, and advocacy in the National Assembly.

The group acknowledged that the senator came under criticism over remarks attributed to him ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

However, it urged constituents to look at the bigger picture and move past the pre-election incident, noting that the lawmaker has apologised and congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory.

The group said Fadahunsi’s transformative policies and developmental initiatives across the senatorial district cannot be erased, adding that he has continued to represent the interests of citizens across Osun East.

“Senator Fadahunsi is experienced and loves his people. This is the man who facilitated a university to Ijesaland. Apart from this, he has facilitated boreholes, provided healthcare equipment, scholarships, youth and women empowerment schemes, solar streetlights, transformers, bridges, rural roads, and many more across the 10 local governments of Osun East,” the statement read.

It added, “From Imesi-Ile to Boredun, Abiri, Garagi-Olode and other communities, as well as from Owenna in Oriade Local Government Area down to Reserve in Ife South Local Government Area, Senator Fadahunsi’s presence and impact are massive and truly commendable.

“Despite his busy legislative responsibilities, Senator Fadahunsi has also facilitated grants for his constituents and secured hundreds of Federal Government job opportunities for people across the senatorial district.

“At this time when we need strong and experienced voices to speak for us in Abuja, we believe he remains the right man for the job.”

The group urged constituents to remember the senator’s good deeds and not allow one mistake to deny them further benefits that his experience and ranking in the Red Chamber will bring to Osun East.

“We are not saying to sweep issues under the carpet. What we are saying is: forgive the past, remember the good, and give him another chance to serve. Despite what some may perceive as little mistakes, what he has done for Osun East makes him deserve another term. Let us judge him by his service, not by one viral video,” the group stated.
