Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has committed his long-term future to the club after signing a new contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2034.
The new agreement extends his previous deal by one year and comes with improved terms, reflecting his growing importance to the club since arriving from Manchester City in August 2023.
Palmer said his confidence in Chelsea’s direction, alongside discussions with the club’s owners, sporting directors, manager and teammates, played a key role in his decision to sign the extension.
“Chelsea means a lot to me and I think the club is going in the right direction, so I’m delighted to sign and I’m obviously very happy,” he said.
“Speaking to the owners, to the sporting directors and obviously the manager, they gave me a lot of confidence, so it was only right to sign.”
The England international added that the shared ambition within the squad to compete for major honours had strengthened his desire to remain part of the project.
“Speaking to players as well, everyone has the same ambitions. I feel like we win major trophies here consistently and I want to be a part of that and play a big role in it too,” Palmer said.
Since joining Chelsea, Palmer has established himself as one of the team’s most influential attacking players, combining goals, assists and creativity in the final third.
Chelsea confirmed that he has recorded 91 goal contributions in 138 appearances across all competitions, while helping the club win the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup.
His first season at Stamford Bridge was particularly impressive, as he scored 25 goals and provided 19 assists across all competitions, earning the club’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season awards.
He has continued to deliver important performances, including a memorable four-goal display against Brighton and a decisive contribution to Chelsea’s Club World Cup triumph in 2025.
Palmer also revealed that his favourite goal for Chelsea was his dramatic injury-time winner against Manchester United, a moment that became one of the most memorable highlights of his time at the club.
The extension is part of Chelsea’s broader effort to retain key players and maintain continuity as the team pursues further domestic and European success.
For Palmer, the new deal represents more than an extension of his stay. It reflects his belief in Chelsea’s direction and his determination to play a leading role in the club’s ambitions over the coming years.
