Former Manchester United manager, David Moyes is reportedly set for a reunion with Everton after meeting with the club management on Friday.

Sky Sports reported that, Moyes meet with Everton management on Friday to discuss the return to his former club with a deal for at least two years.

The report added that the Toffees on Thursday sacked manager Dyche and hope to announce the appointment of David Moyes by weekend.

The Friedkin Group completed their Everton takeover just last month and have already dismissed Dyche and are looking to appoint Moyes, who managed the team between 2002-2013 before joining Manchester United.

The Scot, who left West Ham at the end of last season, will hope to fire the Merseyside team up the Premier League table and give fans something to cheer about as they prepare to move from Goodison Park to their new stadium next season.

During Moyes’ time at Everton, the 61-year-old guided them to the qualifying rounds of the Champions League in 2005 and the FA Cup final in 2009. Incidentally, Dyche paid the price for Everton’s run of just one win from their last 11 games – leaving them in 16th and just a point above the relegation zone.

If Moyes is finally appointed at Everton, his first game in his second spell could be at home to Aston Villa on Wednesday in the Premier League
