Singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, better known as Ruger, has made it clear that he has no plans to rebrand or alter his musical style in the near future.
Famous for his heartbreak-themed songs, Ruger recently referred to himself as the “heartbreak master” and “toxic relationship master” during an Instagram live session with fans.
Despite his lyrics being labeled a certain way, he emphasized his deep respect and love for women, stating that his music is simply a reflection of his artistic expression. Ruger confirmed that he won’t be changing his persona to please critics.
He said, “I’m not rebranding anytime soon. I am the heartbreak master, the toxic relationship master, the scattered relationship master. You can’t change who I am.
“I’m not rebranding anytime soon. So, if you’re criticizing my lyrics, just know that I love women. Women know that I love them. I love them with all my heart, and I’m always kind and sweet to them. Every woman I’ve been with knows that.”
