A group of women has gathered at the National Assembly to demand an apology from Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan following her sexual harassment allegations against Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

Under the banner of United Women for Good Governance, the group stormed the National Assembly on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, holding placards that read, “Apologise to the Senate President,” “No to Natasha’s Serial Blackmailing,” and “Akpabio Treated Natasha Like a Daughter and Friend.”

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, recently accused Akpabio of sexually harassing her during a visit to his residence in December 2023 and again when she sought clarification on her Ajaokuta Steel Company motion. She has also clashed with the Senate President over seating arrangements, claiming she was deliberately isolated from other senators.
