Manchester United fans have hit out at the club management after the Red Devils confirmed another season ticket price increase.

The club confirmed on Monday that season ticket prices would rise by 5% for the 2025-26 season.

The announcement clearly means that it’s the third consecutive year that the Red Devils have raised the price of season tickets and comes just days after United announced plans to build a new £2bn stadium. The update has, unsurprisingly, not gone down well with supporters.

Manchester United fan and YouTuber Mark Goldbridge posted on X: “5% increase on season ticket prices….you were warned! But at least you got some pictures of a stadium that may never get built. Parasites these owners.”

Another supporter, @Eziemc01, added: “Oi, ManUtd, raising ticket prices while sitting at 13th? Might as well charge for tears—fans are already paying with their sanity! #GlazersOut.”

And user @l1408_ wrote: “Embarrassment. worst season for 50 years and you still have the cheek to put ticket prices up.”

United fans @RedDevGirlUtd also did not hold back, posting: “Absolutely disgraceful! Removing the existing discount from pensioners and giving them 2 months to find 30% increase on the price of their season ticket! Working class Family club no longer! Appalled at what our club has become you don’t want season ticket holders! Simple.”

And @TyronBowman5 added: “Terrible ownership decisions, not even surprised at my own club doing this. Congrats Man United I’ll always be a fan but you have lost a season ticket holder.”

According to a statement released by the Chief Executive of the club, Omar Berrada: “We appreciate the loyal and patient support of our fans, and particularly our Season-Ticket holders who represent the core of our match-going support base. We understand the importance of their backing for the team and have worked hard to come up with a pricing package that is fair and reasonable.”

Manchester United fans have been enduring a tough season, with the team struggling in the Premier League after replacing Erik ten Hag with Ruben Amorim.

Meanwhile, co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has implemented a host of cost-cutting measures, including job cuts and terminating Sir Alex Ferguson’s contract as a global ambassador. United have also admitted that the club’s new stadium plans could prevent future investment in the playing squad.
