Controversial musician Okikiola Badmus, better known as Portable, has been remanded at the Oke Kura Correctional Centre in Ilorin, Kwara State, after failing to meet the bail conditions set by an Upper Area Court on Monday.

The charges against Portable stem from a defamation lawsuit filed by renowned Fuji musician Akorede Saheed, also known as Saheed Osupa.

The court had earlier granted the Zazoo Zeh singer bail of N1 million, with the stipulation that he provide two sureties of equal value.

One surety was required to be the Chairman or Secretary of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), while the other must be a property owner in a Government Reserved Area (GRA) in Ilorin, holding a valid Certificate of Occupancy.

Portable was escorted out of the courtroom after he was unable to meet these bail conditions.
