Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga title celebrations were put on hold on Saturday after RB Leipzig’s Yussuf Poulsen struck a stoppage-time equaliser in a dramatic 3-3 draw in Saxony.

With top scorer Harry Kane suspended due to yellow card accumulation, Bayern looked off the pace early on and trailed 2-0 at halftime under heavy rain. Benjamin Sesko capitalised on a goalkeeper error to open the scoring, and Lukas Klostermann added a second shortly before the break with a powerful header.

But Bayern roared back in the second half, scoring twice in quick succession through Eric Dier and Michael Olise, leveling the match within a minute. Leroy Sane then appeared to seal the comeback with a stunning strike in the 83rd minute, seemingly wrapping up the title.

However, Poulsen had other ideas. Introduced just after the hour mark, the Danish forward struck in the fifth minute of stoppage time, delicately chipping the ball over goalkeeper Jonas Urbig to snatch a point for Leipzig.

“It’s a little strange after that equaliser,” said Bayern veteran Thomas Müller, who is set to leave the club this summer. “I feel like a champion—but we’re not quite there yet.”

Despite the draw, Bayern remain firmly in control of the title race. They sit six points ahead of second-placed Bayer Leverkusen with a vastly superior goal difference. Leverkusen face Freiburg on Sunday but would need a near-miracle to close the gap.

Sesko’s opener came in the 11th minute after Urbig slipped outside his box, gifting the Slovenian a clear path to score from distance. Klostermann made it 2-0 late in the half, heading in off a flick from David Raum to cap a strong first 45 minutes for Leipzig.
