The France chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has thrown its weight behind the newly elected National Chairman of the party, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, calling on him to uphold unity, discipline, and strategic development within the APC.
Yilwatda was formally elected on Thursday during the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, becoming the APC’s seventh national chairman. His emergence follows the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who stepped down due to health-related reasons.
In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, Chairperson of the APC France Chapter, Hajiya Amina Baba, congratulated Yilwatda and expressed strong confidence in his leadership capacity, particularly in alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“On behalf of the entire executive council and all members of the All Progressives Congress (France Chapter), I extend our heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda on his well-deserved inauguration as the National Chairman of our great party,” Baba stated.
“This new chapter represents not just a personal milestone, but a significant opportunity to guide our party towards greater unity, discipline, and strategic growth.”
Baba further noted that Yilwatda’s leadership presents renewed optimism for inclusive governance and a more resilient party framework. She emphasized the commitment of the APC France Chapter to the party’s success, especially from the diaspora.
“As members of the Nigerian diaspora in France and Europe, we remain steadfast in our resolve to contribute meaningfully to the growth and success of the APC. We are strategically positioned to mobilize support, promote the party’s core values, and champion the interests of Nigerians abroad.”
She added, “We look forward to close collaboration with the new leadership to strengthen the APC’s presence across Europe, engage more deeply with Nigerian communities, and support initiatives that advance democracy, development, and national progress.”
