The Presidency has cleared the relationship between the newly appointed Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Commission, Mele Kolo
Kyari and the Chief of staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.
According Bashir Ahmad, personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on new media, the new NNPC GMD Mele Kyari is not in any way related to Mallam Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the president.
Ahmad consequently accused some social media users of sharing fake news on the relationship between the two Kyari’s who are both from Borno state.
“Despite the fact that Mele Kyari the recent appointed GMD of the NNPC is from Borno state but he is not related to Mallam Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the president as some social media users are busy sharing the fake news,” Ahmad.
