Former Kano State governor and 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has debunked reports alleging that he and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf have written to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to indicate interest in rejoining the party.
According to a statement released on Friday, Kwankwaso dismissed the circulating rumours as unfounded and clarified that no such letter had been submitted to any political party.
“We have been alerted to some online claims suggesting that we have sent a letter of intent to join a political party in the country,” he said.
“We wish to categorically state that we have not made any such submission to any party. The public is advised to rely only on information released through our official channels,” he added.
