Atalanta manager Ivan Juric has commended Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman for his impressive performance in their UEFA Champions League victory over Club Brugge on Tuesday night.
The Italian side came from behind to secure a 2-1 win against Nicky Hayen’s team in a Group Stage matchday two clash at the Gewiss Stadium.
Lookman, making his first start of the season, played a key role in the encounter, while defender Ederson also returned to action after recovering from injury.
Juric praised both players for their contributions, noting their importance to the squad.
“They’re quality players. They’ve been training with us for a while, and I felt today was the right opportunity for them to start playing matches,” Juric told Sky Sport Italia.
