Head coach of the Brazil national football team, Carlo Ancelotti, has expressed confidence that Cristiano Ronaldo will achieve the remarkable milestone of scoring 1,000 career goals.

Ronaldo, who has already netted over 950 goals for both club and country, remains one of football’s most prolific scorers. The Portuguese captain has also hinted that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will likely be his final appearance on the global stage.

Speaking in an interview with Spanish journalist Tomás Roncero, as reported by AS, Ancelotti said he has no doubt about Ronaldo’s ability to reach the historic figure.

“He will get there, no doubt. I have no doubt he will make it,” Ancelotti said.
“In Italy, they asked me about Modric playing well at 40, and I said of course he will at Milan. Luka and Cristiano are both exceptional professionals who truly love the game and are passionate about it.”

The veteran coach praised Ronaldo’s discipline and relentless drive, describing him as a player who always achieves what he sets his mind to.

“Cristiano will surely reach 1,000 goals, but when he does, he’d better not forget to invite me to the celebration of that incredible record,” Ancelotti added with a smile.
