Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has disclosed that she apprehended the woman who secretly recorded and circulated the viral gym video that subjected her to online ridicule and body-shaming earlier in the year.

Speaking on a recently trending episode of the Honest Brunch Podcast, shared via the show’s Instagram page, the actress recounted how she tracked down the individual who filmed her without permission during a workout session.

Blessing said she felt deeply violated and frustrated, especially after the gym management refused to release the woman’s details.

“iFitness hid her information from me… I eventually found her myself. Of course, I had her arrested,” she stated, noting that she was committed to holding the culprit responsible.

Before discussing the arrest, she also defended her natural body, criticising those who mocked her appearance after the unfiltered video made the rounds.

“You’ve done BBL, yet you’re recording me with a natural body. Are you okay, sis?” she said, dismissing comparisons between surgically enhanced bodies and natural physiques.

The actress emphasised that her gym outfits and appearance were about comfort—not impressing anyone.

“This is who I’ve always been. I wear whatever I’m comfortable in. I’m not trying to hide from anyone,” she added, stressing that she wouldn’t pretend to look flawless while exercising.

Recall that the actress became the subject of widespread online discussion after the unauthorised gym clip showing her tired and bare-faced went viral, triggering commentary about the contrast between her real-life appearance and her curated social media images.

In an earlier Instagram post, she clarified that her gym routine was strictly for fitness.

Her message emphasised that she works out to “stay fit and healthy, not to walk a runway,” and that looking exhausted during exercise is completely normal.

Blessing added that she could have pursued legal action earlier, but initially chose to let the matter go, placing it “in God’s hands.”

Since then, she has embraced a body-positive stance, launching an online challenge encouraging women with big stomachs to love and celebrate their natural bodies.
