The Osun State Police Command has arrested four suspected members of a burglary syndicate allegedly caught while breaking into a shop in Odeomu area of the state.
The command disclosed this in a press statement issued on Thursday by its Police Public Relations Officer, noting that the arrest was made through collaboration with local security outfits and other stakeholders.
According to the statement, the suspects identified as Jamiu Alayande, 19; Sunday Olalekan, 22; Abdul Ahi Olasiyan, 23; and Wasiu Jamiu, 22, were apprehended in the early hours of February 10, 2026.
The police said the complainant reported at the Odeomu Police Division around 6:00am that her night guards had arrested the suspects at about 1:40am while they were allegedly burgling her shop.
Following the report, detectives were said to have visited the scene, taken photographs and recovered exhibits from the suspects.
Items recovered included cartons of wine and other drinks valued at about N950,000.
“Investigation is ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigation” the command concluded.
