Leading A’Level College in Osun State, ‎Kindawaz Academy, Osogbo on Thursday, held its 2026 annual orientation programme for newly admitted students of the institution.

The programme, aimed at preparing them for academic success and personal development, was held at the school premises at Osogbo.

‎The Director of the Academy, Akindele Oladele, said the programme was designed to introduce students to the purpose of their admission, rules of the institution and the broader meaning of education.

‎“Today’s programme is all about student orientation. We are giving orientation to the newly admitted students, telling them why they have come here, the meaning of education, the impact of peer interaction, the use of technology and many other important issues,” Oladele said.

‎He explained that the goal was to help students become well-rounded individuals.

‎“We want to expose them and make them holistic in their activities. We are also teaching them some of the factors that can help them succeed in their academics,” he added.

‎Oladele noted that the institution was founded in 2016 and would celebrate its 10th anniversary later this year. “We started in 2016, and we will be 10 years this year,” he said.

‎An architect and guest lecturer at the event, Oluyemi Oke, spoke on the use of technology in advancing academic performance. His lecture focused on how students could leverage digital tools to improve their learning outcomes.

‎“I took a lecture on the use of technology in advancing academics. We sensitised them on how to use available software and AI tools to enhance their studies,” Oke said.

‎He stressed that technology should complement, not replace, hard work. “Technology is not a substitute for hard work, but it can reduce cumbersome tasks and help students achieve better output in their academics,” he explained.

‎Oke, who said he has been associated with the academy for four years, commended its track record. “The success rate has been very high. Most parents within and outside this area patronise the academy. They also have a centre in Ondo, and there have been testimonies of success,” he said.

‎According to him, the Academy prepares students for programmes such as IJMB and JUPEB, with many gaining admission into tertiary institutions. “Most of their students secure good admissions into universities,” he added.

‎Also speaking, Afolabi Oluwatomisi, a tutor for the A-Level programme, described the academy as a centre for continuous education.

‎“Kindawaz Academy is a college for continuous education where we train students for A-Level programmes, majorly IJMB and JUPEB. We have recorded successes in this field for years and our records are unmatched in the state and even, beyond,” he said.

‎He explained that the programmes are structured to prepare students for direct entry into 200 level at universities of their choice. “The programme prepares them for 200-level admission, which means that while they are here, they are already operating at 100-level standard,” he noted.

‎Oluwatomisi added that the academy has spent nearly a decade building its reputation in Osogbo. “By the grace of God, Kindawaz will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in Osogbo this June. We have been around for the past nine years, going to 10 years now. It’s about our determination to be part of success stories of many students and our records are speaking for us now.” he said.
