Videos have emerged showing that Iran has sent missiles to the capital city of Israel, Jerusalem and other cities in Isreal.
Israeli ministry of foreign affairs released the footage on Thursday evening.
The ministry shared the footage in a post on X, revealing that Iran’s leadership had fired missiles toward the city during the holy month of Ramadan. The post described Jerusalem as a city sacred to Jews, Muslims, and Christians.
Captioning the video, Israel’s foreign ministry wrote, “Iran’s mullah regime is launching missiles toward Israel’s capital, Jerusalem, a city sacred to Jews, Muslims, and Christians, during the holy month of Ramadan.”
The development comes in the wake of intense attacks coordinated by the United States on Iran.
Iran has continued to revenge the killing of its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, as explosions were reported in several cities and smoke rose above the capital, Tehran.
Iranian state media confirmed that attacks took place across the country. Authorities also shut down the nation’s airspace and disrupted mobile phone services as further blasts were heard across Tehran.
United States President, Donald Trump, later confirmed the operation in a video shared on social media, saying the United States had begun major combat operations in Iran.
He accused Tehran of continuing nuclear development and pursuing missile capabilities that could eventually threaten the United States.
