The E4 Development Advocates, a coalition of professionals, youth groups, and community stakeholders, have reiterated their strong support for the re-election of the member representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam, describing his performance as “consistent, measurable, and people-driven.”
The endorsement was made public at a press briefing held on Tuesday in Egbedore, where the group reviewed what it called Salam’s legislative achievements and constituency development record over the years.
Speaking on behalf of the coalition, the Coordinator, Dr. Ogundeji Awoniyi, said the lawmaker has distinguished himself as a top-performing legislator whose impact extends beyond lawmaking into grassroots development.
“We are convinced that Rep. Bamidele Salam has justified the confidence reposed in him by his constituents. His record in legislative duties, oversight functions, and constituency empowerment clearly sets him apart as one of the most productive voices in the National Assembly,” Dr. Awoniyi stated.
The group referenced his ranking among the most productive lawmakers in the 10th House of Representatives, noting his inclusion in the ERGAF-AFRICA Legislative Productivity Index, where he was identified as one of the top 20 legislators nationwide.
According to the coalition, Salam’s legislative record includes the sponsorship of multiple bills and 33 legislative interventions within a single session, alongside active participation in oversight responsibilities.
Beyond legislation, the group highlighted several constituency projects executed under his representation, including education, infrastructure, empowerment, and social welfare initiatives.
Dr. Awoniyi emphasized that Salam’s approach to representation has been inclusive and impact-focused.
“From classroom construction to youth empowerment, from rural electrification to healthcare outreach, his interventions have been deliberately structured to touch all segments of society—women, youths, the elderly, and vulnerable groups,” he said.
Among the projects listed were over 100 classroom blocks constructed across multiple schools, bursary awards to thousands of students, distribution of educational materials to hundreds of schools, and empowerment programmes for artisans and young entrepreneurs.

The group also noted the provision of over 50 boreholes, installation of transformers across numerous communities, and expansion of rural electrification projects aimed at improving access to electricity in underserved areas.
In addition, they highlighted the training and empowerment of over 20,000 constituents in various vocational and digital skills, as well as financial support schemes for women and cooperative groups.
The coalition maintained that Ejigbo and surrounding local governments have remained active participants in the political structure of the constituency, rejecting claims of marginalisation.
“The historical record is clear. Every part of this federal constituency has, at different times, benefited from representation at both state and national levels. The narrative of exclusion does not reflect reality,” Dr. Awoniyi added.
The group further argued that Salam’s leadership position in the House, particularly as Chairman of the Committee on Public Accounts and a member of the ECOWAS Parliament, enhances his capacity to attract development to the constituency.
They explained that his seniority in parliament places him in a stronger position to influence national resource allocation and oversight outcomes.
The E4 Development Advocates also cautioned against what they described as “divisive political rhetoric” ahead of the next election cycle.
“We urge all political actors to focus on issue-based campaigns. Our democracy must not be reduced to sentiment or misinformation, but strengthened by facts, performance, and integrity,” the group said.
Aligning with the administration of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, the coalition said Salam’s legislative efforts complement ongoing state-level development initiatives.
The group concluded by urging constituents to prioritise continuity, competence, and proven track records in making electoral choices, insisting that Salam’s performance makes him deserving of another term in office.
