The immediate past deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Lasun Yusuff on Friday distributed farming implements to farmers in Osun state.
The farming machines which included three tractors, 50 water pump machines, 25 spraying machines and 25 cutlasses, were presented to Osun State Farmer in Osogbo, the state capital.
Speaking at the event, Lasun, who is the immediate past 1st Deputy Speaker of ECOWAS, said the aim of the distribution of the machine is to boost farming in the country, thereby bring about food security.
He added that this is the second time that he will be presenting tractors to farmers in the state as he presented first sect of three tractors in 2017.
Jubilating members of the association expressed their happiness over the kind gesture of the former lawmaker and promised to use the implements optimally.
