The wife of the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Osun State, Dr Sekinah Oyebamiji, has expressed confidence that her husband, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, will emerge victorious in Saturday’s governorship election.
Sekinah spoke shortly after casting her ballot at Ward 9, Unit 003, AUD Primary School, Ikire, in Irewole Local Government Area of the state.
She commended the voter turnout, describing it as impressive, while also expressing satisfaction with the conduct of the electoral process.
According to her, the election had so far been peaceful and orderly, with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission conducting themselves professionally.
“The voters’ turnout is quite impressive. The INEC officials are conducting themselves professionally. There are police officers around,” she said.
Sekinah also noted that the presence of security personnel had contributed to maintaining order at the polling unit.
“I think the process is good so far. The expectation is that Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji will carry the day,” she said.
She expressed optimism that the APC candidate would secure victory when the results of the election are eventually collated and announced.
