Barcelona are set to officially announce a new long-term contract for captain Raphinha, keeping the Brazilian forward at the club until June 30, 2030.

The announcement is expected on Thursday, November 5, after both parties had reportedly agreed to and signed the necessary documents in early October.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed the development in a post on X on Wednesday, noting that the agreement had also been finalised with Raphinha’s new representatives.
The extension adds two years to his previous contract, which was due to expire in 2028, further securing his future at the Catalan club.
Barcelona sporting director Deco had earlier confirmed that an agreement was close during the club’s general assembly in September, saying the forward was expected to remain at the club for another four years.
Raphinha’s new deal reflects the growing importance of the 29-year-old in Barcelona’s plans under head coach Hansi Flick. Since arriving from Leeds United in 2022, the Brazilian has developed into one of the team’s key attacking players, combining goals, creativity and leadership.
His appointment as club captain further underlines the trust placed in him, while his performances in La Liga and the Champions League this season have strengthened his position in the squad.
For Barcelona, retaining Raphinha is also part of the club’s effort to maintain stability as it continues rebuilding under Flick. Beyond his contributions on the pitch, his leadership and experience are expected to remain valuable as the team pursues domestic and European honours.
The new agreement will keep Raphinha in the Blaugrana colours until 2030, extending his commitment to the club as Barcelona look to build a competitive side around their established players.
