The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Mr Simon Achuba has been impeached by the State House of Assembly on Friday.
Mr Achuba has been at loggerheads with Governor Yahaya Bello since 2017 and the house has in August leveled allegations of corruption and negligence of duty against him.
The Majority Leader of the house announced the impeachment to the newsmen in Lokoja on Friday.
