The Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba (Dr) Adedokun Abodunrin has charged youths to see themselves as tools to develop Nigeria by bringing the hidden potentials into fruition.

Oba Abodunrin gave this admonition at the 12th Convocation Ceremony of Lead City University, Ibadan shortly after being conferred with Honourary Doctor in Public Administration (Honoris Causa) by the institution.

The Monarch, who was accompanied to the ceremony by Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Akirun of Ikirun, Oba Olawale Adedeji and the Director, Center for Black Culture and International Understanding, Professor Siyan Oyeweso.

Oba Abodunrin, who was a legal Practitioner before ascending the throne, said “My remark shall be for the young ones. I want you to see yourself as tools for nation’s building. You can turnaround this country’s fortune.

“Conquer the fear, there’s no height you can not reach if you’re determined. I believe the God can use you as tools to exhume all the giants, hopes and potentials that we (the older generation) are sitting on buy can not see.

“All it takes is your determination and commitment towards a greater Nigeria,” the Monarch said.

Also conferred with the award is Professor Jide Owoeye.

Other dignitaries on the Entourage of the monarch are Alh Kazeem Adio, Former SSG, Osun State, Hon Tunde Olatunji, Member of Osun State House of Assembly and several others.
