A chieftain of the Social Democratic Party in Osun State, Elder Femi Awe has described the recent inauguration of a caretaker committee by the state chapter of the party as invalid and an alien to the Constitution of the party.
In a chat with Insight Media in Osogbo, Elder said the 2016 Congress of the party remain valid and the executives emerged on those congresses are still the recognized officers of the party in the state.
His words, “I, Elder Femi Awe, the 2016 Congress secretary of SDP holds that the then Congress still valid up till date and I reject the kangaroo inauguration of the party caretaker committee in totality.
“To me and other loyal SDP members, no caretaker committee is existing in Osun state. I refuse to honor any candidate that think he can pocket SDP and turn it to shoprite,” e said.
The party chieftain called on the National Leadership of the party to be ” aware of those those forming strange association with the All Progressives Congress in Osun State.
He said topmost agenda of the SDP has been to restructure Nigeria for a better prosperity. Adding that “APC has no plan to restructure even their homes talk less of states and Nigeria”.
