The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared incumbent governor, Yahaya Bello as the winner of the governorship election held in Kogi State on Saturday, November 16th.

Announcing the results of the election in Lokoja, the Returning Officer, Prof. Ibrahim Garba declared Bello as the winner of the election.

Garba said, Bello, who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, polled a total number of 406,222 to defeat his closest rivals, Musa Wada of the People’s Democratic Party who garnered 189, 704.

Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Miss Natasha Akpoti came a distant third with 9, 482 votes.
