Kaduna State government has confirmed that 16 almajiris from Kano State have tested positive for coronavirus.
Governor Nasir El-rufai disclosed this via a tweet on Thursday.
He wrote, “KDSG has confirmed 16 new COVID-19 cases in the state.
“The new cases, all almajiris from Kano, have raised the number of active COVID-19 cases in Kaduna State from 9 to 25.”
Meanwhile, Nigeria on Wednesday recorded 196 cases of the virus.
Confirmed cases in Nigeria now stand at 1728
