Suspected hoodlums have shot dead a policeman identified as Felix Egbon on Friday May 8, while enforcing the nationwide curfew imposed by the Federal Government following increased cases of Coronavirus in the country.

The state’s police spokesperson Chidi Nwabuzor who confirmed the incident on Saturday May 9, said the late policeman attached to the Auchi Police Division in Edo was shot during an attack launched against him and his colleagues.

He was immediately rushed to the Central Hospital in Auchi, where he was pronounced dead. Nwabuzor said a manhunt has been launched to arrest those behind the sad act.
