Joy Ezechikamnayo took over as Governor of Abia State for 24 hours on Monday December 11th. Joy , an SS3 student and senior prefect of Intellectual Giants Christian Academy, Umuahia emerged the state one-day governor after a rigorous essay competition organized by the state government.
The 20 top performers in the essay competition were designated as follows:
1st position-Governor
2nd position – Deputy Governor
3rd position – SSG
17 others are Commissioners
Yesterday, the state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu handed over power to her. She will handover power to him today, December 12th.
